Our Journey
In 2023, three attorneys at a Nashville firm found themselves drowning in research. Despite having access to traditional legal databases, they were spending 20+ hours per week on routine legal research and document preparation.
The problem wasn't lack of information—it was information overload. Legacy systems required knowing exactly what to search for, using complex Boolean operators, and manually reviewing hundreds of results. Meanwhile, advanced technology was revolutionizing other industries.
We asked ourselves: What if attorneys could simply ask questions in plain English and get instant, accurate answers specific to Tennessee law? What if documents could generate themselves based on a few simple inputs?
That question became Jurist Diction. We assembled a team of Tennessee-licensed attorneys, legal engineers, and legal technology experts to build a platform that actually understands how attorneys work.
